Country sensation Ella Langley is celebrating the release of her sophomore album ‘Dandelion’ with an in-app TikTok experience. While commonplace for major artists, this highlights her rapid rise seeing as the artist released her debut album in 2024.

Langley recently made history as the first female artist ever to simultaneously lead the Billboard Hot 100, Hot Country Songs, and Country Airplay charts with her hit “Choosin’ Texas”. While released in October 2025, the song made the top spot by February 2026.

According to Billboard country chart analyst Russ Penuell, the song took off on radio, DSPs and social media simultaneously, at a very fast rate. Her team’s strategy focused on TikTok promotion – where the artist had around 1.2m followers before the track took off – independent radio promotion via Triple Tigers, and a universal country sound that forced the gaze of pop radio.

A core part of the song’s TikTok success was also about the artist leaning into her Alabama drawl – like her pronunciation of “Abilene”, which spawned a number of reaction videos and memes.

How to Ella-vate your artist?

Lean into hyper-regional details. More and more artists are highlighting accents, slangs and local nuances, and their local community is taking them global. Integrate local spots, inside jokes and personalities into campaign materials to connect to your artist’s own community.

Go indie-major hybrid. While the track is released by independent label SAWGOD Records in partnership with Sony’s Columbia, the team outsourced radio promotion to the independent Nashville label Triple Tigers, making their promotion more targeted and agile.
