What could be more 2026 than trying to detect whether a song is AI-generated or not… from within one of the big AI chatbots? Tech firm Vobile is here to serve up exactly that.
The company has launched its AI Song Detector MCP Server – the MCP standing for Model Content Protocol, the open-source standard that connects services and data to AI models.
In Vobile’s case, its detection tech can now be accessed from within ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, GitHub CoPilot and even Grok – if the latter’s users aren’t too distracted trying to declothe women, that is.
Vobile says that the benefit here is being able to use natural-language queries to spot AI-generated music. “Is this song AI-generated?.. Analyse this audio file for AI-generated content… Tell me which AI platform generated this song,” and so on.
Rightsholders are the target for this technology more than individual music fans. Its launch follows Vobile’s acquisition of another tech firm, Pex, in April 2025.
